Terms of service

These terms govern the website rlvservices.com and, unless individual project agreements say otherwise, the services RLV Services provides. We keep this page deliberately short and readable.
1. Our relationship
Every project begins with a written proposal describing scope and price. That proposal plus these terms together form the agreement. We do not use signed long-term retainer contracts for services like hosting or maintenance; those are month-to-month unless agreed otherwise in writing.
2. What you own
Unless a specific agreement says otherwise, you own your domain (registered in your own accounts), your content, your data, and applicable custom source code we develop for you. On request we provide it in usable, exportable form — during the engagement and after it ends.
3. Hosting & third-party services
We sometimes resell or configure hosting, email, and other third-party services. Those providers have their own terms, which we'll point you to. We don't claim to control the availability of services we don't operate, though we'll always work hard on your behalf when something isn't right.
4. Payment
Invoices are due as stated on the invoice (typically net 15). Projects that require third-party purchases (domains, licenses, payment processing fees) are billed at cost. Late payment beyond 30 days may pause ongoing work until resolved; we'll always tell you before anything pauses.
5. Liability
We perform services with reasonable care and skill. Our total liability for any claim arising from a project is limited to the amount paid to us for that project, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these terms limits either party's liability for fraud or for anything that can't be limited by law.
6. Cancellation & portability
You may cancel month-to-month services with reasonable notice (we ask for 30 days so we can hand things over properly). Upon cancellation we'll deliver your assets and, if you wish, help you migrate to another provider — no hostage-taking, no drama.
7. Changes
We may update these terms with notice on this page. Material changes that affect existing agreements are communicated directly.
